With over 20 years of experience, Eric Carter is a luxury design and remodel expert who knows kitchen, bath and home remodeling in Chicagoland and beyond. As the founder of 312 Kitchen & Bath, Eric brings his wealth of knowledge, abundant energy and Midwest values to every high-end home renovation project.

Eric is known for his innovative design vision, impeccable taste and attention to detail. As an experienced general contractor in multiple states, Eric has provided luxury design and remodel guidance to countless homeowners. And when it comes to protecting your remodel investment or home purchase, Eric knows how to make smart remodel choices with cost-efficient design solutions to maximize your budget and home value.

Originally from Minnesota, Eric considers Illinois and Chicago his home. However, Eric started his career in the health and fitness industry in Dallas while attending college. After making a career change, Eric was involved with buying, remodeling and flipping homes. When friends, neighbors and prospective home buyers toured Eric's beautifully designed and renovated homes, he soon had a following of homeowners and investors who wanted to hire Eric for their own remodel projects in other cities besides Minneapolis-Saint Paul, including greater Los Angeles, Dallas, Phoenix and Denver. With this newfound success, Eric started his business that later became 612 Design, where he offered high-end remodel services and project management for custom kitchen, bath and home renovations. Over time, Eric's friends, colleagues and clients encouraged him to expand to Chicago. With his established supplier relationships of ProSource, Ferguson and Build.com, Eric made the decision to rebrand and relocate his business in 2023 from Minneapolis to Chicago, in order to meet the growing luxury remodel demand of homeowners in Chicagoland and coast to coast.

In his personal time, Eric loves to laugh, learn and explore while relaxing with his friends and family. Eric has many interests that he’s passionate about, including music, exercise, farmers markets, art and culture, fine cruise and wine. And he’s an avid fan of Shark Tank, Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles, and The Great British Bake Off. Eric is also a proud supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, which specializes in finding cures and treating childhood cancer.

Did you know? Eric has done remodels for a number of high-profile clients. In fact, while working on his first million dollar home renovation, Eric Carter received a $10,000 tip at the end of the project from a client who was thrilled with the finished result.
